The majority of us can agree on one thing…we are incredibly busy in our lives. And in our busy lives, I think it’s safe to say, we don’t stop and think about what’s going on in the rest of the world.
Did you know, March 2016 marks the 5th anniversary of the conflict in Syria? A war which has caused the largest refugee crisis since World War II. More than 4.3 million people have fled the five-year conflict in Syria.
This is where CARE stepped in. CARE teamed up with WWII refugees to write current Syrian Child Refugees letters, offering them a glimmer of hope during this difficult time.
Who is CARE? CARE is a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty. Their mission is to serve individuals and families in the poorest communities in the world.
CARE has reached over 2 million Syrians with humanitarian relief, with food, emergency shelter and hygiene kits. But as the Syrian conflict has dragged on, CARE wanted to deliver something more: HOPE.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
- Take a minute to write a letter, online, to a Syrian child in need of hope. You can write your letter here.
- Make a donation to help these refugees. $35 provides refugees with a hygiene kit. $70 is a month’s worth of food. No donation is too big or too small. A donation of any amount helps!
- Share this post with others to help spread a little hope around the world!
