You may already know contouring is one of the hottest makeup trends. Everyone wants those chiseled, super-model cheekbones. If you’re lucky and blessed with natural sculpted cheekbones, lucky for you, you do not have to contour.
However, it is now Fall, which means we not only need to transition our wardrobe, but our makeup. “Baking” or “cooking” your makeup isn’t anything new, but it’s the hottest makeup trend this Fall! You’re probably thinking…WHAT?!?! Baking makeup leaves your face with a creaseless, flawless face. Just think Kim Kardashian; her skin is always flawless and yours can be to!
First, please excuse the frizzy, rain hair! As you can see on the left “Unbaked Make-up” that my makeup looks cakey. On the right “Baked Make-up” there is a seamless look.
Here is the secret. You can create this flawless, picture-perfect look with translucent powder and concealer! I’ll show you how to create this look. I’m going to apply to one side of my face so you can see the transformation difference.

4. Dust on translucent powder with fluffy eye shadow brush. *Try Tarte Smooth Operating Clay Finishing Powder
5. Now, “bake” the makeup. Use a wedge sponge and dampen it with a setting spray *Try Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water. Then, dip the wedge into the translucent powder to pack the loose powder generously over eye area where you applied the concealer. Leave the powder on for five to 10 minutes.
7. Enjoy your flawless finish!
